Practical Nursing (PN) Admission Requirements

  • STEP ONE: The Applicant must PASS the ATI TEAS EXAM Pre-Entrance Examination with a Minimum Score of 48 (ATI Test can be done at the School Monday – Friday from 8 am – 12 pm or can call ATI www.atitesting.com)
  • STEP TWO: The Applicant must be a High School or GED Graduate: The applicant must provide documentation of graduation from high school in the form of a valid high school diploma, transcript, or other acceptable documentation issued by an authorized state education agency (e.g. General Education Development (GED) in Ohio.) International transcripts/documents need to be evaluated by a third-party evaluator for equivalency. In addition, students may submit an academic transcript of at least two years of a college education within the last 10 years
  • STEP THREE: BCI/FBI Background Check (Code: 4723.09) Reports that contain excluding documentation may result in the student not being able to attend clinical rotations (FBI background check must also be done if you have lived outside of Ohio more than five years ago)
  • STEP FOUR: Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR) CARD
  • STEP FIVE: Physical Exam (FORM IS ATTACHED HERE)
  • STEP SIX: TB Testing (FORM IS ATTACHED HERE)
